Practical Clinical Training – COURSE DESCRIPTION:

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Practical Clinical Training consist of 29 hours of workshops and 27 hours exercises. The main goal of the course is to familiarize the students with the clinical aspects of the core medical specialties: internal diseases, surgery, family medicine, pediatrics, psychiatrics, gynecology, emergency medicine. During the course students will integrate the knowledge to implement complex diagnosis and treatment of most popular diseases.
First block of classes – workshops in internal diseases, surgery, family medicine, pediatrics, psychiatrics, emergency medicine.
Second block of classes – exercises realized with useage of simulation techniques, they will be consisted of 4 parts:
- short introduction to scenario (pre-briefing)
- scenario realization with useage of high faithfulness simulation techniques
- summary and discussion

Topics will include:
- Medical communication (RSVP, SBAR, SPIKES, ABCDE)
- Practical Skills (Basic Live Support, per rectum examination, periphelial vein caniulation, urinary catherization)
- Advanced Life Support in adults
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Diagnosis and treatment of the most common diseases of the respiratory and circulatory system

The course is completed with an OSCE exam consists of 3 stations:
Station A – Medical communication
Station B – Clinical Skills
Station C – Decision tree
